Is There Shame With People Wearing The Same Prom Dresses for 2013?

Should there be a great deal of attention placed into the act of wearing the same clothes as someone else? If anything, I believe that it should be something of a compliment because it shows that the two people have similar clothing tastes and work with similar styles as well. However, I do know that there are some concerns when it comes to prom dresses for 2013. No one wants to look the same as someone else and these ladies have taken initiative on the matter.

The New York Post published an article about how many young ladies have started to utilize social media channels so that the same prom dresses for 2013 would not be worn. In order to truly bring this idea to life, Facebook groups have been created which allows these females to keep track of who's wearing what. If they know that someone attending the same prom is wearing a certain style of dress, they know not to use it. This allows for more creativity, which is seen within organizations such as Estelle's.

There has been an influx of photos of these gowns as well thanks to the channels of Instagram and what have you. It's apparent that they want others to see their choices and receive recommendations on them as well. I believe that asking for other opinions is great but there has to be a level of maturity to be seen on the matter as well. I just think it's uplifting that quite a number of schools and their students have decided to back this idea.

If you want to know about the schools which are onboard with this, a number within New York and New Jersey have shown immense support. New Dorp High School in Staten Island along with Girls at Bronx Preparatory Charter School, to name two examples, has been open to this idea. They know that it's important for these students to compare dress types and claim certain types so that there would be no similarities. The schools understand just how vital this type of communication is.

I wasn't aware of this subject before and I was even inquisitive as to why it was so important. However, I have seen matters from another perspective and I know that it's not something as simple as ordering the same dinner as someone else at a diner. This is supposed to be a night that stays with people forever and I don't think anyone will be able to dispute this. If this idea manages to take off, I can see a number of other campuses and their students deciding to incorporate it.
